재외동포재단, 장학증서 수여식 및 졸업생 환송회 개최

- 39개국 총 110여명의 재단 초청 장학생 및 졸업생 참가한 가운데 23일부터 이틀간 진행

- 모국과 재외동포사회 발전을 이끌어갈 주역으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않을 것

□ 재외동포재단(이사장 한우성)은 지난 23일부터 이틀간 경기도 연천군 소재의 한반도통일미래센터에서 ‘제20기 재외동포재단 초청 장학생 장학증서 수여식 및 졸업생 환송회’를 개최했다.

□ 동 행사는 재외동포재단 초청으로 국내 수학 기회를 얻은 39개국 110여명의 장학생이 참가한 가운데, 장학증서 수여식, 졸업생 논문발표, 장학생 선․후배간 네트워크 구축을 위한 지역별 간담회 및 안정적인 모국 유학 생활을 돕기 위한 학사지침 설명회 시간을 가졌다.

□ 한우성 이사장은 특강에서 ‘아름다운 영웅 김영옥’을 주제로 재외동포 차세대들이 갖춰야 할 리더십에 대해 설명했다. 또 다른 강연자 최태성 EBS 한국사 강사는 ‘역사 속 인물의 삶과 업적 조명’을 주제로 강의 후, ‘한번의 젊음, 어떻게 살 것인가’라는 토크콘서트 주제로 장학생들과 이야기를 나누었다.

□ 한우성 이사장은 “재외동포 장학생들이 모국과 재외동포사회 발전을 이끌어갈 주역으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라며 졸업 후에도 동기·선후배 간 교류를 지속해 서로 돕는 네트워크를 구축해달라"고 말했다.
